Learn a little bit about me Hi, I'm known as DJ Dusty. I was born in Den Helder in 1960 (I will see Sarah soon) and raised in the East of Groningen. After living abroad for a few years, I'm back living in the Netherlands. I've had a love for music since early childhood. I prefer Bluegrass, Country and Gospel because I love the sweet acoustic blend of Violin, Banjo, Mandolin, Guitar and Stand-Up Bass. Put in the humour of Grandpa Jones, the voice of Bill Monroe, the unique styling of Earl Scruggs on banjo, add a little mandolin and my day can't go wrong. I can also appreciate the charms of modern country, but I can do without the heavy metal edge. I am married to Ankie, and we have two dogs. We like to go camping with our tent during holidays, and if possible visit a Dutch island. We also like to visit new cities but we prefer a natural setting. Photography is another passion of mine. Every chance we get, while on holiday or out for a walk, we take the camera along. I'm currently working as a volunteer at Radio Westerwolde and do a show called Shades of Country (one hour per week) and I am a reporter and photographer for Westerwolde Actueel.
